A world waiting to be explored
An amateur's journey of this beautiful world — and telling a story of this world through the lens.
Explore the galleryWho I am
I'll be the first to tell you — I'm no expert in photography. What I am is someone who has been fortunate enough to explore this beautiful planet and fortunate enough to capture the pieces of it that stop me in my tracks.
I started with nothing more than my phone, and honestly, I wouldn't change that — it taught me to focus on the moment rather than the gear. Now, I'm slowly making my way into the world of camera photography, one step at a time.
I'm Malvis Campbell — the third, if you're counting. Fitting, because everything here passes through three lenses before it reaches you: my eye finds the moment, my camera holds it, and the writing brings it into focus. The photos are what I saw. The journal entries are what I felt.

The person behind the lens
I'll be the first to tell you — I'm no expert in photography. What I am is someone who has been fortunate enough to explore this beautiful planet and fortunate enough to capture the pieces of it that stop me in my tracks. I started with nothing more than my phone, and honestly, I wouldn't change that — it taught me to focus on the moment rather than the gear. Now, I'm slowly making my way into the world of camera photography, one step at a time.
I took my first photos in 2016, mostly just pointing at whatever caught my attention in the moment. But somewhere along the way, something shifted. What started as curiosity became intention, and what started as intention became the thing I look forward to most on my time off. This blog is that journey — unfiltered, unhurried, and always honest.
There's a reason this place is more journal than gallery. I'm Malvis Campbell the Third, and the way I see it, every moment here passes through three lenses before it reaches you: my eye finds it, my camera holds it, and the writing is what finally brings it into focus. A photo can show you what a place looked like — the entry beside it is the only way I can show you what it felt like to stand there.
My hope is simple: that somewhere in these photos, you see something that makes you want to go find it for yourself.
